I blew the single 12" RE SX subwoofer in my car, probably from overpowering it. I have a Hifonics BXI1608D mono amplifier.
Rather than replace and eventually blow another sub, I'm looking to add a second to better distribute the power, but that will mean a second enclosure. The only way I'm going to make it fit, is if I point both subs up toward the top of the trunk. If they point up, there's perhaps 3" of clearance between the sub and the top of the trunk. Will pointing them upward affect SQ or SPL in a noticeable way? Previously the single 12" faced the back of the vehicle. What sub do you guys recommend for a 2.0CF ported enclosure tuned to 32 hz? |

Too close to the deck IMO, both pointing back or even towards eachother if you can get almost a foot between their faces, would be better.
