Default AVIC N1 Screen not calibrating...

I have a Pioneer AVIC N1 unit that is having touch screen issues. When I try to calibrate it in service mode in the first step it has an error message of "Invalid by the outside of permissible value."

It says this after tracing the white line on the outer edge of the screen. When moving on to step 2 of the setup when touching the points asked I have to touch either far right or far left of the screen...also the far left points do not even register when touching.

I know with the proper solution and instruction this is a problem I can repair myself.

PLEASE Help!

Thanks in advance for all advice and help!!!

After 3 hours of research on the web I found a solution to calibrating my screen and it worked after multiple tries! Well worth the time and effort!

Hope this helps Perry... As I said it took me multiple tries and also fooling the hard drive by tracing inside the white lines ( taped off screen about 3/16 of an inch both right and left sides ) this will depend on your specific unit when calibrating. As the link says BE CAREFUL when doing this. Not following the steps in the link can cause permanent memory loss!!! only use steps 1-4!!! If an error message occurs in step one as I posted in the original post try moving the tape. Hope this can help someone as it surely has done for me!!!

Thats the link! Good luck!!!

If anyone has questions I would be happy to help if possible.
