Pioneer AVH-P3200BT problems
Hey guys, new here and first post.
I recently installed a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT and Memphis Car Audio 5x7s in an 08 F150. I am having issues now that weren't present with the stock radio.
What it's doing is with the radio on I get a lot of popping and noise, especially when under power lines. Which is a huge issue for me because I work for the electric utility and am in substations all day with lots of power all around so it's bad. Also when I am listening to my iPod if I pause the music I get a lot of hissing. I first thought it was a setting issue because with the EQ on super bass or power it gets worse, but it is still there even when on flat. I next thought it was the speakers but swapped them at the dealer and still there.
I don't know what it could be, but I'll include some details of my setup and install if that'll help.
I wired the radio in with a metra wiring kit using the stock ground wire, no amps, re wired the ground to a ground behind the dash after I installed the speakers. I also have a 12v relay close to the harness used to bypass the parking brake switch.
Also, I desoldered the stock harness from the stock speakers and soldered the new speaker wire to them in order to not have to cut my stock wiring.
I don't know what to do, I've read of the fuses blowing if not adequately grounded which I don't think it was at first, but everything I've read was about people using amps and not the HU to power their speakers.
Please help, this is annoying
