Does anyone know what driver board/class d chip they are using in this amp and if they are still available? Found one for sale blown and I would like to buy it but I am scared that the driver board is done and could not be replaced. Here is a pic of the amp: http://ampguts.com/forum/attachments...f92b4a9900-jpg

many times i am able to repair the original driver board unless it is very badly burnt. i have only seen severly burnt unrepairable driver boards a few times myself.

The board in the actual amp I am looking at doesn't look to be burnt at all. I just worry about the little IC that is covered in epoxy or whatever that is on the middle of that driver board. Hoping somebody here might know what that part is before I drop 50 bucks on a paper weight.

Looks like that particular ic gets very low voltage, protected pretty well, I have never had any problems with those types of ic's alpine uses them in many of there new amps and it's never that chip always something else, wish I could remember the PN, chances are it's ok, although they can burn out for no reason lol, we take chances when dealing with the way they build the newer amps thats for sure.
