I purchased this amp new and ran it for close to 3 years without problem on a single 9500 wired at two ohms. I sold this sub and replaced it with a pioneer w3004 spl, long story short the sub must have been wired at a unstable impedence for the amp to handle or out of phase. This caused the amp to go up in smoke, with my warranty expired I decided to investigate and found that the speaker input terminal fried out at the board. I have a decent amount of electrical knowledge, but resistors, transistors, fets etc are like speaking jibberish to me. I have a fluke mm, and a nice soldering setup, but am lost on choosing replacement parts. I have no clue on what, where or how to locate these parts and any knowledge you would be willing to share i'd be more then happy to soak up!!
Thanks, D.Clark |
