i have this jbl gto 700.1. i got it as inop, but it seem that someone has dropped it on the terminals and broke all of them at the board. amazingly enough, the board was un-damaged. i powered it right from the board and it powered up just fine, and even played. was going into protect at high volume, but i found that all the speaker teminals were cracked apart right where i couldn't see. the speaker terminals i can likely silver solder no problem, but all the nipples and half the plastic is broken off the power/ground/remote block, so i may just need to replace. i'll get some pics up as soon as i can.....
and, while i'm at it, i was wondering if anyone knows where to get the standard old-as-time terminal clamp screws with the square clamp washers.... both are pretty genaric, or at least not manufacturer specific, so i would like to know if there is a supplier other than the specific amp manufacturers. any help would be appreciated...... and i think others may be interested in this info too... |

I can’t help on the broken terminals or where to get them; but yeah pics would definitely help so others know the exact ones you’re looking for.
As for the screws with the square clamp on them; I came across this site a few years ago, however, I have not done any business with them yet, but maybe they have what you need? If they are the style you are referring to anyway. Goldmax Amplifier and Crossover Screws - They fit or your money back! There may be other places to get them as well; I have seen them on ebay before too. I would be curious to hear of other places to get them as well if anyone knows any. Hope you get the amp straightened out! |

JBL is a real company and offer replacement parts for their equipment (although terminal blocks may have limited availability).
