The IRF3710 and the part number you posted come up together when you search for it with Google.

question if the transformer is shorted, could it be rewind.

You could have a transformer that's intermittently shorted.

The diodes behind the terminals are likely transient voltage supressors. Examples:

mmatts hc300 power-fet buzz everytime i resolder the legs to the board, i took them out and tested all the power-fet they all read good. do anyone have an ideas what will cause the fet to buzz, stp80NE06
