Alpine 1507 Will Not Turn On

I have a Alpine 1507 that will not turn on. None of the LEDs will light up, not even the protection LED. The fan does not come on. I've checked the fuse and verified that the amp's getting good power. The ground is good. I'm guessing that the problem is in the turn on circuit. I just don't know where it is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You need to confirm that you have sufficient power supply voltage. With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red probe alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts on either the B+ or remote line, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low. If 'both' the B+ and remote turn-on lines are low and your battery is fully charged, you may have a bad ground connection.

If the voltage is OK and you want to repair it yourself, power it up and measure the DC voltage on all 3 legs of Q801. Post the voltages. Place the black meter probe on the amplifier's ground terminal. Place the red meter probe on the point where you need to measure the voltage.

Hi Perry,

I took the amp out and powered it up with a variable power supply set at 12.7V and voltages to the B+ and remote were both around 12.7V. Here's the measurement of Q801 from left to right 12.67V, 39.6mV, 12.7V with the output of the power supply set at 12.7V.

Post the DC voltage on the three terminals of Q802 (see attached). It's on the bottom of the board near Q801.

Q802 voltages: 12.63V on leg by itself, 3.0V and -0.01mV on the other two legs

It appears to be defective. THIS should be the right part.

Well, I replaced Q802 and the amp turn on and worked good until yesterday. Now I'm getting some weird flashing power and protection light. The power from the power supply was set at 14V.

With the RCAs plugged in:
Protection light amber, Music light green, Power light flashing red (flashes 6x, flash green 1x)

With the RCAs not plugged in:
Protection light red, Music light green, Power light green

Anybody have an idea of what's wrong?

Thanks for the reply Perry. I've already looked at that error code chart. Somehow on my amp, I'm getting a amber light on the protection led which doesn't show on that chart.
