Default ppi 4200am, Power but no sound

I just recieved a PPI 4200am and tried hooking it up in dual bridge mode. The amp powers up fine but I get no sound. I mean no sound through all ranges. The manual talks about using a Y adappter for the RCA's when in this mode. I did this but no luck. One thing I would like to verify is the speaker wiring. This amp has speaker plugs that do not have the original wires in them, so the colors do not match. The amp has a color code on the bottom for what the speaker wiring is supposed to be, but since the wires no longer match the original colors I can't go by that. To be in dual bridge mode, I have a positive speaker wire right next to the remote turn on and then skip one terminal and then the negative speaker wire and then nothing in the last terminal. This repeats for the other set of speaker terminals. If anyone has any ideas please help. Also I have tried with the 2/4 channel button in and out. Thanks, Scott

With the amp off, with your multimeter set to ohms, find the 4 speaker wires that read 0 ohms between them.

If you know which wire is remote, the remaining 4 wires should have signal on them. Use any of the 4 wire that are directly connected for the negative speaker wire and touch the positive speaker wire to each of the other four speaker terminals (the ones not directly connected) on the amp. Do you get audio on any of the 4 other speaker terminals on the amp?

Do you get any crackling when turning the gain pots or changing the position of the switch?

Thanks Perry. I was off on my speaker wiring. It sounds good now.
