My cd player keeps shutting off????

Ym cd player keeps shutting off when i turn up the volume. Just did the big 3 with 0 gauge wire. helped dimming but not the shutting off problem. whats wrong????

You need to confirm that you have sufficient voltage on both the constant/memory and ignition wires. Measure the DC voltage where the wires enter the back of the head unit. Touch the black probe to the case of the head unit when measuring the voltage. What's the lowest voltage you read at the point where it shuts off?

I'm waiting on a volt meter now. But do you think its a wiring problem with the cd player or with the amp?

You have to start with the basics before you can determine what the problem is.

You stated that the CD player was shutting off so I'm assuming that it was switching off. The amp cannot cause that if the system is wired properly.
