Default Help with American Bass XD3000

Hi, can anyone tell me the numbers of the two 8 pin ICs used on the driver board of the American Bass XD3000? I'm getting a noise in the output. Tried the driver board in a known good XD3000. Same problem. Thanks!

They are probably an LM211 and a TL072. Typically, the one with the lowest circuit board designation is the TL072. I think (not sure) that pins 1 and 4 are connected together on the LM211. This may help you confirm which one is the LM211.

Are they covered with epoxy?

Thanks Perry. No they are not covered with epoxy. The numbers have been ground off. I have two of these with driver board problems. I'm needed the numbers to help with trouble shooting. The amps had output problems. I've replaced those. One board has no drive and the other is causing noise. I know it's on the board because I can put it in a known good amp and I have the samr problem. Thanks again!

Check for poor solder connections on the transistors near the ends of the board. They often overheat and the solder oxidizes.

You should also confirm that the gates of ALL of the outputs are being driven. These amps will work even if several of the groups of outputs aren't being driven. If all aren't being driven properly, the amp won't be reliable.

I'll be sure and check that. Thanks.
