Im working on a driverboard out of an amp and 1 of the caps is missing.
Its one of thoose silver surface mount caps. It says 2.2 50V Can i replace that with a regular cap 2.2uf ? |

Most likely that will work. Beware of polarity. At that value there are tantalum SM caps that have polarity. If you can post a picture or schematic we can tell for sure..

Yeah they are polarized caps and have a pos and negative.

So would the tantulum caps work in place of the silver body surface mount caps?

Most likely it will work. Why is the part missing? Any other dammage?

cause someone thought it would work better if they removed the parts
