Crown MT-600 - Average vs Constant Output Power?

Kindly refer to the specs below.

It states that, for "8 ohm Bridge-Mono" mode, the "maximum average power" in watts at 1kHz with 0.1% THD is 655W.

I'm quite confused with several "power" terms found in audio amplifier. For examples:

[1] RMS Power
[2] Maximum Power
[3] Maximum Average Power

Are "RMS Power" and "Maximum Average Power" the same?

Technically, there is no such thing as RMS power. When using voltage, current, resistance... to calculate power in an AC circuit, the 'power' is average power. I'd assume that the crown amp could produce the rated power before the onset of clipping.

The term 'maximum power' is useless.
