Amplifier Remote

I got an Amplifier with a remote switch who automatically turns on the amplifier when the radio turns on....

how much voltage do i have to send trough this wire if i want to turn on the amplifier? because I want to plug it on my walkman

You will need 12V, exactly the same as the operating voltage of the amp.

i wasnt sure because i tought it was 5volts
