ok the amp im fixing is a 1000.d i got it to power on with all new out puts but still dont play and it only draws 1 amp.

I'm assuming that it's the 16-st1000d. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Does the relay engage? Is there any DC on the bussbar that's between the transformer and the filter caps?

Have you operated all of the switches and pots through their entire range?
If so, did the amp ever produce audio or any noise?
