Default new system few question

hello,

Fist let me say I love this sight it has taught me so much over the last 2 months as ive researched equipment for my new truck. I just bought a used 2005 f-250 xlt super duty. obviously the guy before had some sound sound system in it. the factory head unit was replaced but labeled 2005 f-150 and there was speaker wire patched into the factory harness. the speakers are some sort of infinity (silver). I just installed a clarion dxz665mp i had wile I wait on my eclipse cd7000 to come in the mail. with the factory unit i noticed that all speakers sounded muffled except the front passenger speaker sounded fairly decent. So, i put the new head unit in and it still sounds like crap. the rears are terrible and the front drivers side sound like halfway decent wile the passenger side is crystal clear unitl about half volume. I have 2 mm1040 subs, mtx600xd mono amp, mb quart dsc480 amp, and 100 sq ft. of fatmat rattle trap comming in the mail. but I would really like to know if I need new speakers or WTF is wrong with the sound. ive tride reversing the polaritiy on the drivers speaker and no difference at all. any advice??

thanks
will

Are the speakers that are in there now a component or coax? Sounds to me like the speakers and/or tweeters are blown.
