A small help on a SMPS

I've build all the circuit my problem is on the transformer...
I've "destroyed" a burned transformer for 220AC to 12VDC (B) and naturally rewinded the "spin(??)". But with a tester i've at the output +6 instead of -37 and +20 instead of +37... The question's are:
1)Wrong type of winding? Should i rewind as a type A or B for this kind of application?

2)Is it suitable for this kind of application? Or MUST i use a type-A transformer?

3)Is it adaptable for this kind of application? For example by cutting the plastic fins(swings? Divider? i don't know the right word sorry! :p)

4)The buz11 become ver very hot. Don't checked but i think around 60°C.. Is it normal?

Any comment will b very appreciated.. remember that i'm a beginner so don't talk much difficult! :)

SMPS response

It's not clear from the diagrams you've posted, how you're intending to use the transformer.

I'll assume that the SG3524 is going to either switch a power MOSFET, or switch the transformer coils directly. In the latter case, you won't get a whole lot of power out of this.

In either case, this might be using the wrong type of transformer. Normally, SMPS are switched at very high frequencies, >20kHz. At these frequencies, iron lamination based transformers don't work well, and typically ceramics or ferrites are used.
