Default Eclispe cd player display message

Hello,
I would like to know why my cd player is displaying source cdp?
The cd will not play at all.

Sounds like it's defective. Eclipse decks that don't recognize a disc usually write disc err on the display so if you don't see this your HU probably has a problem. Does the disc eject or the HU is frozen? If it ejects try an other disc, if it's frozen reset the HU.
I've owned Eclipse decks (and sold them) since 2002, and HUs 2006 & up have had many issues related with the printed circuit wire that goes to the motorized faceplate. Mostly related to radio freezing or buttons not functioning though.
