Im working on this amp not sure what modle it is .
The power supply fets were all shorted . I replaced thoose all gate resistors checked fine. But when i looked at the drivers on the board it looks like someone has replaced them at some point but there are 2 2SA1023's Isnt one of them suppose to be a 1027? Cause with just power and ground connected it draws 60+ amp of current. If 1 is suppose to be the 1027 how do i tell which location it goes in? |

The collectors of the PNP drivers will be directly connected to ground. Are there any drivers that don't have their collectors connected to ground?

I figured out the problem in the supply part.
Now im rebuilding the output section. The model number on this amp is HC4002. This amp says it will do 4000 watts @ 1ohm Which i highly doubt. How Do i figure out how much this amp really does ? |

The only way to know how much power it will produce is to measure it.
