Quick question

First post and quick question: i have an old amp i'm cleaning up, I noticed the regulators had no insulators between them and the heatsink do i need to insulate them or will it not short out?
It's an old kenwood kac series (probably a 626 can't tell it was painted over).

If they're not fully encapsulated, you need to use insulators.

Mica and heatsink compound will work.
