Hello,

I have been through the other threads, they have no pictures or info I need.

I got this one with the front/rear fet's removed.
I know they are Tip 102/107's, but I don't know which goes to which side on the board.

I am also replacing the caps, panasonic?

The outputs aren't FETs in this amp. If they're TIP102s/107s, they darlington bipolar transistors.

If the emitters are tied together (via the emitter resistors), the collector of the TIP102 will go to the positive rail. You can either trace it to the positive terminal of the rail cap or to the rectifier.

I've had good luck with the FC series Panasonic caps (Digi-Key).

This one was easy!

Fixed:D
I replaced all the caps I could get panasonic replacements for, and put new tip 102/107's in it.
Also replaced the internal wires and leds between the rca's.
The switches needed some messaging, but all the channels work!
This one is going in my Thunderbird...

Spoke too soon...

I got it installed in-car, and it blows fuse for 4th channel as soon as powered-up with/without speaker connected. Wiring in car good speaker good. Showing 22vdc across fuse terminal in the car.

on bench, testing just 4th channel with generator, it works/doesn't blow.
Have I got devices in there backwards?
Ideas?
I'm pulling it apart now...
Thanks!

new problem

Sound is great from this!
Gain adjustment worked for a while, then,
All trim pots for gain suddenly have NO affect on input gain.
The gain seems to be 'stuck' at minimum sensitivity.
Is there any trick to this before I open it up?
Tried massaging switches with no change.
Thanks!
