Hi guys anything look worn or unusual inside this map ?
I ask cuz I plan on buying this amp.

Upon looking at the amp the only thing that concerns me is this resisiter (red arrow)
It seem to be skinnier than the other one on the other side.

If the Reference 500 is anything like my 700s, the switches will drive you batty. I swear, every time I flip a switch in my 700s, I need to pull the board and replace it.

I agree with oldshoolfool 9out of 10 times the switches are bad or very dirty in theese amps. You can pick up a bottle of contact cleaner for 7 or 8 dollars . And clean the switches and that might be the only problem with the amp

As I read, you're suppose to flip the switches with the amp off and disconnected ! Are you guys doing this ??

Yes Like i said 9 out of 10 times its the switches. Ive repaired about 15 reference 500's and a few reference 1000's and also 700's out of all of the amps i repaired about 19 of them were the switches being dirty/defective.

Perry,1moreamp and alot of others will probably agree first place to check is the switches. If nothing else appears to be burnt

Every time I flipped a switch, the amplifier was not even connected to power. The last switch I replaced fell apart as soon as I desoldered one row of pins.
