DD Z1 amp issues

well I got it out...however now it is in 2 pieces. :mad:

I'm not sure if it was already damaged or if I did it all, I'm leaning towards the latter. The lead ends of the diode were bent under the board, and I had no way to straighten them out without pulling the whole card. So it took some effort to remove.
 
I was putting the PS mosfets back in the board and decided to check some other transistors. I found a shorted driver transistor (A1023), I pulled it from the board and the legs read 0.6-1.2 ohms of resistance between. I already have the replacement coming.

These driver transistors led back up to the driver card, and to the pins that had the low voltage on the SG3525 chip. Could this shorted transistor be the cause of the problem? or just a result?

I will be replacing the part within the next few days.
