Question First Aftermarket Car Audio Project

Hey everyone!

I have a APVB-120B loaded enclosure and i am about to buy an amp for it...

Here's the details on the enclosure: 2 2ohm subs, SVC, 750 watts rms(total), 1500 peak, 102 db sensitivity, 28-150 Hz range,

Could someone please tell me which of these two amps will do the job?

Power Acoustik LFA2-1800 (lfa21800) 2-Channel Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix

Or

Power Acoustik LFA2-2200 (lfa22200) 2-Channel Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix

I dont want to spend a lot (As you can see from the brand of subs and amp i chose lol) but i'm afraid the first amp i listed wont cut it.

Thanks in advance

~Skylar

it is recomanded to buy a class d amp, because what you chosed is in AB class, with less distorsions but it consume more. And another aspect is that those amps can't have those powers on the output. in the descriptions they say that it has 3x25A=75A, at 14.4V 1080W, but the fuses are 20% over rated from the real cosume, and i don't know that in this world somebody release an amp with 100% efficiency...

think twice before buy an amp!

succes

sorry for my english

Those amps won't do anywhere near rated power

what is your budget?

this would work
DSC1500.1D - MB Quart Monoblock 1500 Watt Discus Series Class D Amplifier

"PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) MOSFET power supply and transistor outputs" (first amp)

actually is class D. unless they mean that only the power supply is PWM. but then you could still get some power because the voltage can be stepped up.

well i bought the 2 ch 2200 watt amp along with a sony cdx gt340.

Class D amps are ok but why would i want a 1 ohm setup, that makes the subs sound like poop

There shouldn't be any audible difference at any given impedance that's within the amplifier's rated impedance range (assuming that the amplifier is in good working order).
