Just finished installing butyyl based sound deadner in my pickup, i want to go the extra mile and install closed cell foam on top of the deadner to cancel the waves from the speakers. do you guys think it would work to go to use a yoga mat, its much cheaper and iam sure it would work. annyone tried this thanks?
Not sure, but those cheap mattress pads also look like a good sound absorber. Back in the day I used to find large luxury cars like Cadillacs in the junk yard. I would pull the carpet and take the insulation out. That stuff was the greatest, and the large cars had the largest pieces of it. It looked like ragwool with a tar or rubber backing on it. Some was plastic bagged.
