Default Hellpppppppppp

I just recently bought 2 10" subs and a amp. I had a friend who knows how to install do it. It worked and played fo about 30 sec then thumped and went out.... No power to the amp at all. All of the fuses are good and all of the wiring is good. Touched a dc meter to the amp and its getting power, just the amp will not turn on. We plaugged the amp in my buddies car and it worked no problem.. What do you think is wrong with it?!!!? I hae tried absoluitly EVERYTHING and i cannot figure it out.

You said it wont work in your car but it works in your friends car with no problem??

If thats the case doesnt sound like the amp is the problem sound like something in your car is the problem.

Use your meter and hook black probe on your ground wire red probe on power wire Whats the voltage?

hook black meter to ground and red probe to your remote turn on wire with the deck powerd on whats the voltage?

When checking the voltage on powr and remote, you must place your black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp.
