Im working on this pioneer avic n1 . I have replaced the the chip in it (pal007a) and fixed a boken trace, Also i checked the large diode in the unit. But the unit is still dead when i apply power to it nothing happens.
The only thing i get is when u take the face off the red light blinks but thats it Wondering if anyone knows what i should check next? |

Unless you find another open trace or something obvious, you'll probably need the service manual to trace down the problem.
As always, you should probably suspect the ribbon cable(s). Ask the owner if the problem (not powering up) began suddenly or if it was intermittent for a while.

Pioneer will replace the ribbon cable free of charge. There was a recall on the n-1 and n-2. It could very well be the ribbon cable.
