I have this snap-on vantage graphing meter, that I use for automotive diagnosis. Is it suitable for use as a scope to test amplifiers? Descriptive link is below.

not sure if this answers your question:
Vantage FAQs MT2400 Vantage FAQ's Question: What is the fastest Waveform Viewer time base? Answer: 5 mS in single channel view, 10 mS in dual channel view. The Waveform Viewer in Vantage was not designed to be used like a labscope. Vantage database currently supplies the user a database of 82 known good waveforms that are sensor and component specific to be used for comparisons only. The histograph capture capability is better suited for finding problems. |

I don't think this will work for audio amplifiers, doesn't look like it, however are you looking to buy one ? or you just wondering ?

Lots of reviews on youtube, and on line, so thats why i bought one, its cheap, it will work till i can afford a really nice one, and besides if i blow it up, im only out 180$ compaired to 500$ and up!

Just wondering, I already own it and was wondering if it could be a double duty tool for me. I'm not looking for a scope currently, but maybe in the future.
