Default Alpine 7949 No Backlight

I have a Alpine 7949 with no backlight.I have swapped out the faceplate with another one and have tested the ribbon cable off the motherboard and it's good.I don't have a scmattic's for this unit.Does anyone know what part on the motherboard i should be looking at or try replacing ?

Just to be clear, neither faceplate will illuminate?

I would start by finding the led's or the lights and trace them back to the faceplate connector. Then follow them into the motherboard and see if that takes you to the backlight drivers or ps.

Default To Hard to trace

Itís too hard to trace because itís double sided pc board and the light is fluorescence light that has a balas. I think I will need a schematic to trace it. Thanks for the suggestion ECM.
