Hello Everyone,
Looking for the schematics of the Precision Power 4100AM amplifier. The amplifier came with a car and needs repair. I only found the user manual on the PPI site. Thanks, Peter |

What's wrong with the amp?

Probably something in the switching PS part. The amp does not turn on. Visibly, I can not see any blown components.
Do you have a schematics to share? I did e-mail to PPI but they never bothered replying. Thanks, Peter |

I don't have a schematic for this amp. I'm assuming that it's like the 4200AM.
http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/PPI_4200AM/ Post the DC voltage on all 16 pins of the power supply driver IC (likely an SG3525). Pin 1: Pin 2: Pin 3: Pin 4: Pin 5: Pin 6: Pin 7: Pin 8: Pin 9: Pin 10: Pin 11: Pin 12: Pin 13: Pin 14: Pin 15: Pin 16:

Hi Perry,
I did see those pictures while I was searching for documentation on the amp. Mine looks similar, though less power transistors on the sides, it is only 4x25W. The PCB silkscreen says that it is a PPI 4030 Rev x board. (Don't remember which revision it was.) I also did find the documentation on the SMPS controller chip, that also should help. I just hoped that the schematics is available somewhere, and that would make life a lot simpler. Thanks, Peter |
