no air out of my vents

ok guys this is whats going on. i have a vented three hole speaker.
each chamber is 1.75 cu ft. now i have 1 hifonics brutus bx12d4 in the right and left chamber and in the middle chamber i have 2 mtx 8000 one in the top of the box and one in the front haring the middle chamber. now the hifonics in the left and the right chamber push air all day long but. the 2 mtx has no air coming out of the vent. you can see them move with the hifonics and you can tell that they are working. when i unhook one of the mtx and let the other one play you can feel air out of the vent but when i hook it back up and both are palying no air comes out of that vent. i have some idea of what might be happen but i would like to hear from my buddies. oh i have a usg 200d pushing about 2000 watts over all four 12's so that would be around 500 watts for each 12 . i hope yall can help me before i kill my mtx 8000

Do you possibly have one of the MTX speakers wired incorrectly?

yep, sounds like the're out of phase.

if your woofers are out of phase, one is wired correctly (positive from amp to pos on speaker - neg amp to neg speaker) and the other is wired opposite.

so when one speaker pushes outward (creating a vacuum in the box) the other pulls in, which cancels the vacuum and equalises the pressure - therefore no air will move through the vent.

you will also notice that the bass is actually louder with one speaker on than both.

luckily this is an easy fix - swap the wires on one of the woofers and and should sound way better.

one more thing - you need to make sure all 4 speakers are in phase or else they will work against each other.
