i am repairing an alphasonik ma-2050 old school amp and the thermal cutoff is open. where can i find a new one. I am kinda new to car audio repair and dont have the resources yet.can i use a universal one for others too? thanks for your info

Is it a thermistor or a thermal switch?
If it's a thermal switch, it may be a normally open switch and will only close at its rated temperature.
