i am tryiing to fix 2 of these identical amps at the same time, i hope to save money on shipping when i order parts. they have completely different symptoms
this one can actually make sound. the problem is that it is very scratchy. i need to have the level turned almost off for it to make sound and as soon as i raise the level the test speaker goes crazy. nothing seems to be getting really hot and i cant see any burnt parts. i measured the op amps and one leg is reading 26v i figure this is probably a good place to start |

What's the resistance from the RCA input shield to the non-bridging speaker terminals?

You may have an open trace or a broken ground on the RCA jack. Check both. Compare it to your other one but I think it should read 0 ohms.
