Is there a way to get a signal out of these newer HU with DSP and all? Preferably pre xover and processing but volume controlled? I have no idea how the signal is handled inside, particular one I have is a PRS880 Pioneer.

DEH-P880PRS?
If so, the volume control/source selector IC is the last IC in the signal chain. It appears that all processing except for volume control is done before this IC.

So the whole thing would have to be capable of handling two more channels...very doubtful. I have heard you can pull two channels direct from the CD player, but not what I want. Also investigated running xover'ed channels back to a full range but appears you can't do that well either plus if it has T/A that is no good. Thanks anyway I tried.
