Default car amplifier design help

Hi,
I am desiging a car amplifier. The details are as below
Sony Xplod speaker(40W RMS)
Input voltage is around 1v.
power to amplifier should be through a battery.
stand-by time should be around 2hrs.

can any one please help me out ASAP.

You can never have a 1V powered Amp .. be realistic

He is telling about voltage amplitude of input signal to amplifier not the supply voltage, he has already mentioned battery as power source.

Have you decided how much output watts do you need? If you are satisfied with 19/20Watts then you can go for LA4440 from Sanyo.

TDA1562 is a very good 70W RMS chip from Philips.. Pavan you can give it a try.

Arasuk, can you gv me ur cell number..I am building an amp around LA4440.

Default help for my tired mind

hello arasuk ,
well i dont know a lot abt this forum , even then the work going on this forums is beautiful. i have some questions if you could guide me . well i want to make a 2.1 system ,for my brothers pc, a pair of floor standers and a good quality amplifier having output of abt 100 watt rms per channel for my home.

i thought of purchasing vifa drivers from corrson.com (Banglore) or peerless india 6.5"drivers, but haven't purchased it yet.

i came upon a schematic based on 2sc 2922 and 2sc 1216 sanken transistors. i dont have any technical knowledge. so please could you help a diy enthusiast in me get this things done. i am bored of listening to sony deck i have.
