Default Amp doesn't fade left and right.

The amp doesn't fade left and right. If i fade to the left or the right, I still get sound from both speakers. I tried doing iPod > amp and I had the same problem. The problem is also still there even if i unplug one of the RCAs. Any ideas?

Is it a multi channel amplifier? Are you using all 4 speaker terminals?

The only switches on the amp are for crossover and bass boost. I have the crossover set to full, and the bass boost off. Its a Elemental Designs 9.2 amp.

If you plug only one RCA in at a time, do you get sound from only one channel at a time?

Its a 2 channel amplifier. Yeah, I'm using all 4 terminals. Two wires per speaker. I have 2 speakers hooked up to it.

Unplugging one of the RCAs and sound will still play from both sides.

I also tried a mini-to-RCA converter on my iPod, and still had the same problem.

Do you get sound from both channels no matter which RCA jack you use? Some amps have RCA jacks that send signal to both channels if you use the left channel.

Are there any internal switches?

Does it get a little quieter when you fade it to one side or the other? Sounds like you have it bridged. Would you be able to post a pic of your connections at the amp?
