Default ground fuse in line out circuit

just recently had this replaced in my pioneer P80MP. just wondering what this is. i know there are people on here that take HU apart all the time and might be able to point this out to me. just curious to see if i could have done it myself instead of paying $60.00 to have it done. the fuse was only $4.63 thanks in advance!!

The fuse is in the RCA shield ground circuit. It opens when a power source comes in contact with the RCA shield.

In some of the older head units, the fuses were easily accessible and easily replaced. Looking at the service manual for your head unit, it appears that the fuse is much smaller than the older ones. It's located near the IP bus connector and may be labeled for easy ID.
