Default enclousre for my sub

howdy peoples

i;ve got hold of 4 cheap 10inch subs at a bargin price of 9 quid each

there nothing special but i thought i'd see what i could do with them on the cheep.

i was wondering how they'd sound in a plastic bin

the bin give me a volume of about 13l and is pretty strudy, and with a little strengthing it might give a nice punch

does anyone have calculation for tube / frustum type enclousures?

there some parameters attached i hope

Just download winISD if you want to play with a model, it will tell you what to use for ported or sealed, or bandpass....and its free.

Just figure the area, it should apply the same as a box in software no matter the shape...within reason. A really thin box for example may not work as well as a more square shaped one. Spherical shapes are great but obviously harder to make. Most here use fiberglass to make shapes, with wood inserts such as a ring to mount the driver and any flat panels....chicken wire and cloth to get started. Can also use those cardboard concrete forms, look up sonotubes.
