disc stuck in nakamichi cd700 11

can anyone help me with this problem put disc in then it stuck and came up with emech tried the reset button power off and on but no luck can you help me please thank you jackie

Hello Jackie I have a cd700 1st version which is almost the same. The disc is most likely stuck in between play & eject mode. The next time you try to power unit press play(I've noticed it's easier for it to go back into play mode if its stuck and it repositions mechanism) after it plays for a few seconds try eject again. You may need to repeat several times. If you get disc out look at thickness. If it's thicker than most other discs I wouldn't reccomend playing that disc again. The cd 700's don't do to well with thick discs after they get some age due to the mechanical design & how it wears. I would hang onto it you won't get better sound in a car in my opinion.
