I know this is an audio forum but would anyone know the answer to this? I just got an underdrive pulley for my alternator and it doesnt match up 100%. the ribs are a little off between the two ive posted a picture. could this mess anything up or throw the belt off any other pulleys? can i just run it or should i take it to a machine shop and have it milled?

PROBABLY OK.. The stock pulley sues a spacer behind it to move the pulley out some..( esp GM and Chrysler)

what you are concerned with is the dimension from the actual mounting surface to the first rib. the reason the ribs in your pics don;'t line up is because you don't have the rear mounting surfaces lined up I bet!@
