I just got a Linear Power 5002IQ from a friend - it's in working conditions however there is a resistor that turned brown (can not read the colour coded). It's the one circled in the picture. I looked into the other 5002IQ I have but this resistor (soldered to a diode) is not present.
So - does anyone know what is the purpose of this resistor+diode? - are they really needed? - do you know the resistor value? BTW, I'd like to remove the small board with the DIP circuit as I don't use it - this should make the signal path a little bit shorter (& better?). Someone has any hints? Thanks |
