On my hakko desolder gun the heating element wires came unsoldered so it dont heat up.. Wondering can i use the same solder to re attach the wire the came unsolderd or do i need a speical solder since the element heats up

I have owned several of the desoldering stations over the years, and have repaired a lot of them too.(metcal, peco, RFI, ect...) I have always used regular solder when repairing the heating elements, EXCEPT when it is touching the heating element. Then you would have to tack-weld the connection. Not solder. There are only those 2 types of connections inside the irons. Solder or tach/spot weld... Post a pic, and it would help me or others figure out which piece you are wanting to repair...

Crimp if you can, but as tomtomjr said, you'll probably need to tack/spot-weld the wires on.
