I have tried to search for info regarding building a high effiency audio amp for my motorhome using a switching DC-DC power supply driving a class D amplifier. Is there any existing products out there like this or anybody doing this this?

I don't know that much about it, but there are kits for small ones around 15rms/ch. Larger ones (kits) I have not seen, but you can buy them (alpine pdx and others) and more are coming out. Some people here have built larger units, use the search and you can find threads on it. The power supply seems to be a challenge.
