what usually fails on a sony cdx-c90?

aside from the terrible display, what usually fails on a sony cdx-c90? i just got a used one, it will power up and go through the initial set up menu, but won't produce sound through the fm or cd section, though it does accept and eject cds.

any suggestions are appreciated, tnx

i think its the ribbon connector, can anyone give any advice on how to replace it? also the external inverter seems to be whining slightly

They dont have sony products listed in the drop down, however, they are able to get sony products. I have ordered multiple replacement items from them for my alpine and pioneer units including service manuals. Just call and give them the part number from the manual above.
