I'm repairing this 404 for the hell of it. Its been laying around for awhile now. Here's what is does. As soon as you power it up it pops the fuses and if you bypass the fuses the PS trans. get hot. So I will be replacing the PS fets from 50no6's to 80no6's. I have some 2n6491 and 2n6488's Can I swap those with the tip 107 and 102's?
There are no visible burnt parts or anything so I'm pulling all the outputs tonight and im going to try to get the ps to power up.

Pull the rectifiers instead of the outputs. There are only 4 of them so they'll be easier/quicker to remove.
The 6488s and 91s are not a suitable substitute.
