I purchased the amp pretty cheap with full knowledge that it had some issues. The previous owner said: "The only problem I ever had with this amp is that one of the power supplies was a little sluggish. When running my subs at a low volume, only one channel would power. Once I increased the volume, the sluggish channel would pop on and work as normal." This doesn't sound like a PS issue to me but more like a bad connection somewhere. What do you think? I'll take a look at the board when i get it and post pics if I notice anything weird.

Sounds like bad solder joints... look for dull Grey solder with rings around the wires in the connection. and or completely broken connections..hope this helps..

do you mean at the PS or at the rca input? also, would a simple re-soldering patch the problem if that's the case?

Using a non-conductive probe (wooden dowel) to push on various areas of the board can sometimes help find the broken connection.
If you can't find any bad connections, try the switches and the gain control in all positions. If they cause the problem to become worse or have no effect, it could help narrow down the problem area.
