i have a boss car amp and 2 12 ma audio subs hooked up in a car for a friend when the volume is turned up about half way the amp shuts off and we sent the amp out to boss they claim amp is in perfect working condition wondering why this amp shuts off when turned up to half volume any ideas
/\ My first guess too. I'm thinking you're bridging it to less than 4 ohms mono. Many people do that thinking its going to give them more power. It could also be a bad power connection under the hood at the fuse, or a loose ground, causing the amp to turn off.
