i just picked up a linear power 652 .one channel sounds great the other channel makes no sound and when i touched the speaker leads to the left pos. neg. speaker terminal there was a spark as well as no sound,maybe a little hum....help needed..thanks robert

Have you checked the output transistors in the dead channel to determine if either one is shorted?
Using the RCA shield for the reference (black meter probe on the RCA shield), measure the DC voltage on U2 in the center of the board and post them here. If you don't know how the pins are numbered, look up the datasheet for the IC. Also post the voltages on the outputs in the dead channel.
