Amp recommendation and help
 

I have a set of CDT 6 1/2 and 1 JL steathbox... i have a few amps around that i am considering using... what would you go with?

ppi pc4400.2 rated at 200x2 for the CDT 6 1/2
(this is the silver one..best i can tell its the same board as the first power class but uses a thinner (maybe 20%) sink)

and

ppi PC2400.2 rated at 400x1 for the JL stealthbox
(this is the silver one..best i can tell its the same board as the first power class but uses a thinner (maybe 20%) sink)

OR

JL Audio 300.4 v2 rated at 150x2
and
JL Audio 500.1v2 rated at 500x1 Class D

isn't the design of the JL done by a former PPI engineer

I have always been confused about this PPI engineer ?
so his resume includes the art series, xtant, diamond/esoteric D7, and JL audio?

was the power class an art series design with crossovers?

upon looking at a few of these amps i see that the xtant and diamond are very big in terms of dimensions.....
but the jl seems to be small..give the same output of course...

what gives...were the JLs designed by a former PPI engineer and the board layout and assembly done in china?

I'd use the ppi's. Although the jl's board layout and components seem impressive, I wouldn't use them in my vehicle.
