Here's the state of affairs.I have get rid of some amps its been a W.A.R.(Wife Approval Rating).Dump my Linear Power collection or dump my Orion collection,10 Pieces total.
Now the hard part. Subjectively speaking, which one is more easliy modded. And #2 which one is of a better pedigree in terms of factory engineering. Not really concerned with longivity as I can repair both somewhat easliy. Hear are the models in Question LP-3002IQ,5002IQ Orion- 2250xtr,2100Hcca (Same) |

Both very nice amps IMO, I'd say it comes down to more of what you prefer. I never used an Orion but the LP I have.
Lol, everyone staying away eh?

Yeah,I notice no one wants to touch this one.I guess I should have intitled it GO DOWN IN FLAMES PT.II.Anyway,My real interest is which one has the most potentional.I repair alot of amps, but these will be for personal use.I plan on moding the amps that I keep, and since I'm not as experience in the experimention of modding.I'm just asking for opionions so as to not waste time and resources

Keep the Orion. They are built better, and generally the layout is better than the LP amps, don't let the TO3s fool ya. However, both are "old school" and will requore some maintenance now and then. Messerschmitt

I have lots of both, ran a bunch of them over the years. How bout I send you some old Orion that I don't need, and you send me some LP amps that you don't need? Problem solved...

I think his problem is that he just has too much amps for his significant other's liking. hence he has to get rid of either the orions or the LP's. |
